JOB TITLE: Director of Partnership Marketing

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Corporate Partnerships

 SUMMARY:

St.

Louis CITY SC is seeking an experienced, organized, and client-centric partnership marketing executive for the role of Director, Partnership Marketing.

This position will oversee all partner related activities including activation and execution of all contractually obligated sponsorship elements.

ABOUT ST.

LOUIS CITY SC:

Major League Soccer’s (MLS) first majority female-owned and female-lead organization will play its inaugural MLS season in 2023.

The 100 percent St.

Louis based owners are committed to becoming an exceptional club and neighbor and a symbol for the future of our city and region.

St.

Louis CITY SC will play in a brand new, state of the art soccer stadium to be built on approximately 35 acres in downtown St.

Louis, Missouri.

Seating capacity of the open-air stadium will be 22,500.

Included with the build of the stadium will be the team Administrative Offices and Training Facility immediately adjacent to the stadium in Downtown West St.

Louis.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team responsible for the fulfillment and customer service for all corporate partners.

Serve as the primary account manager for key partners.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers while gaining understanding of partners goals and objectives.

Build and articulate a customized strategy to deliver impact for each partner and the team.

Develop and maintain expertise of Major League Soccer rules, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance across all partners.

Manage and lead the implementation of all shared corporate partner documentation and reporting, including inventory management, revenue allocations, audits, financials, and proof of performance.

Create and implement formalized processes around all aspects of partnership marketing, including 3rd party research, collateral development, recaps, renewals and account management.

Lead adoption and diligent use of KORE and Salesforce CRM for executive reporting, revenue tracking and inventory management.

Research best practices and trends within the industry with a focus on retention and growth of current corporate partners, open business categories, and new inventory development.  Serve as the primary liaison between partnership sales and partnership marketing to drive partner objectives and strategic priorities.

Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to ensure a seamless and “all-in” approach to deliver value and impact to our partners.

Assist with renewal and upsell strategies that deliver both brand and business objectives that ultimately grow existing partnerships and revenue.

Create a culture of best-in-class customer service and relationship building through day-to-day interactions and strategic touch points such as game day visits, special events, gifting, etc.

Develop and execute special events designed to add value to existing partners, identify new partners and create B2B networking opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing or related fields.

Demonstrated success with 5-8 years of sponsorship, team and venue related experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and KORE preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Highly referenced experience.

Detailed-oriented.

Exceptional relationship and communication skills.  High-level of personal initiative, drive and accountability.  Good decision-making skills, solid judgment, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Strong teamwork and relationship management skills and work effectively with all personalities to support a strong, unified culture.

Interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of their job.

Self-directed and able to work independently.

Flexible & reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.

Strong communication skills; must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong, active listening skills.

Strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives.

Able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption.

Strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made.

Ability to work all home games and other events as necessary.
